What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

I got a 70 mile ride in to my youngest son's house on 1 of the most beautiful August days in recent memory. 81° & low humidity. He BBQ'd some burgers and we but his new patio set together.

My Freewheeler just loves to run & it's purring like a kitty and I love this new M8 motor.

The minor improvements I have made have paid big dividend in performance.

Prior to leaving, I spent an hour dusting of the cobwebs, checking tire psi, oil and transmission fluid, all good, then a Lucas Speed Wax once over and it's beautiful once again.

It just doesn't get much better than that.

Got Harley crash bars yesterday gives me more protection also soft lowers for cold weather riding.

Labor day wk-end, Sat 6 AM - Mon. 6 PM rode 873 miles bough $57.95 gas.

My group COMBAT VETS 9 Bikes went to Bryson City NC dealer gap (Dragon) I've had enough curves to do me a while L foot & ankle is sore from changing gears.

good ride BUt, 3 Bikes had trouble on way back, Me, I keep my bike serviced (dealer) & it run like a top, it could do with a better seat. In Pic. me on R. 2 Is missing in Picture.

Pretty nice ride! I love that area & have been through it 2X, but not on my FW. The last 3 years I have been traveling west of the Mississippi.

I got the HD Sundowner Tallboy seat & love it. You can try 1 at most dealers for a few hours. They are a decent price too.

Another popular alternative is one of the Air Hawk Pads.

A truly beautiful day here in STL. I went out about 10:30 this morning to 71° & low humidity.

I fired up my neglected Freewheeler & went on a casual 50 mile ride & my FW doesn't seem to care if I let it sit...it just runs great. I stayed out of 6th gear, kept the revs up & blew the cobwebs out.

I am probably jinxing myself, but it just runs great... I got 1 of the good ones & I am lucky.
