I sure wish diesel would drop . $5.00 cash here. I guess the truckers protest was a bust . Then again the government only cares for its self . No surprise.

When I worked in a refinery ('72 til '86) Frankie diesel was the easiest fuel there was to make as it takes the least processing. But as you mentioned, the oil companies know the truckers have to have it.

The Federal tax on gasoline is 18. 4 cents The federal tax on diesel is 24.4 cents..

And that’s not including state taxes which on average Are higher for diesel than it is for gasoline….

WE have city and municipal tax on top of all that here, but we have no state income tax
