2014 Tri-Glide Thread

Come on TRENT, you got that much in chrome on the trike and I am hearing the front door to your house is chrome

Actually,,way way more than that if you count all the other stuff too !!.. I had my front door chromed,,,then browned it out..neighbors complained about the sun reflecting off it!

On the MoCo site it says under Key Features that it has 17" Impeller® Front Wheel With New Brake Rotor Sitting out front on the Tri Glide® Ultra® model, you’ll notice a 17-inch cast aluminum, 10-spoke Impeller wheel. In the back you’ve got a couple of 16-inch Impeller wheels to match. There are new brake rotors designed to show off more of the premium custom look of the wheels. Because if you’re going to go this far, you might as well take it all the way.

But under Specs & Pricing it has:
Tires, Front Specification MT90B16 72HTires, Rear Specification P205/65R15.

Can anyone verify what size wheels the 2014 Tri Glide really has?

One thing I don't like about the gauges is the lack of an oil pressure gauge. Just an idiot light. But then again all the others are electric also, not a live gauge.
But you only know you have an indication something is wrong with the oil pressure after it fails completely !

See Figure 69. Select the Information button on the right hand
control to view Vehicle Status screen. The screen displays:
• Ambient air temperature
• Oil pressure
• EITMS information
See your vehicle owner's manuals for additional information.

Ok, I stand corrected. :) The dealer didn't know that either. But I still want an analog gauge to reference at a glance not something I would have to flip switches to find. I like analog better than digital also.

Thats fine..we are all starting to learn about all the do dads on these new bikes..
I find the digital is more accurate than analog..

This stuff is crazy. I'm stupid in love with our 2012 TG, now they've gone and changed it. I really like the new dash with the in-line gauges and the fairing vent. The liquid cooled heads have to be a hit, I like the tourpak latch, the new radio, SiriusXM, nav, radio controls......just so much to make me not like mine so much anymore. I was looking at one yesterday at Colbach HD in Morristown, TN. I sent my wife a photo and her response was "get out of there quick!" She's right, I've literally spent thousands on goodies and bling that would't fit the 14, so I guess I'll have to get a new bottle of Viagra and get to know her again, and again, and again, and....you get it.

Yea I beleive you are right..Let the newness of the new Harley wear off awhile and then look at them a few years from now..One thing the colors need to change!! There are many pluses I see on the new models but waiting for more feedback down the road before I jump ship unless a offer comes onlong I cannot refuse...

Sloufoot, have you ever had a rock break your headlight? I never have and I don't know anyone who has - not saying it won't happen, but the odds are in your favor. :)
I thought the oil pressure gage was in the infotainment unit. If not that's a step backwards.

Rivercityjack, How does cooling the heads eliminate the heat from the exhaust and cat? My dealer says he thinks they should still have the oil cooler. Guess I'll have to ride one to know for sure.

I thought the CB came on the top of the line radio. If not that's another steo backwards. I did see a CB add-on package in the P&A catalog. I also saw the add-on saddlebag guards and front fender trim that H-D took off the touring models a couple years ago. What's next, take the oil pan off and offer a standard one or a larger one in the P&A catalog? This is crazy - take things off and charge more - isn't that a Ponzi scheme?

Someone told me they thought there was going to be a lot of driving mishaps with riders looking down at all the pretty lights and the GPS. I like my GPS up high by the windshield so I don't have to take my eyes off the road at all.

I do like the gear indicator. Very sad about the CD. That is a deal breaker for me -for now - I might change my mind, but not until they come back out with the Sunglow Red paint. If the color isn't right, it doesn't matter what improvements they make - they could put in 120 motor and I still wouldn't buy it. Color is everything - to me. :D

I invested in these. not sure how they will work at night http://www.ceebaileys.com/harley/harleyhdg.html

Those look like they might do the job. I do like the amber for the passing lights. That might be an attention getter for the cagers !
The Local dealer said he had found someone that has a cover for the lights, I wonder if this is the same place. He got busy & never got back with him to find out.

Oil pressure is displayed on the radio screen.
