3M Fender Wrap

I bought the kit that is advertised on Ebay for trikes. I ended up pitching in, because I couldn't get it to stretch over the contours. Have a professional who has the experience do it.

Amen to that-I bought the same kit-followed the directions carefully, could not get it to lay down properly!!

I installed my own but I installed a couple of flat, easy pieces first. I put on two shields on the side of the tank and two pieces on the top of rear trunk that helps protect the paint when closing the trunk. I then did the fenders. It takes patience, pure and simple. As long as the film remains wet, you can continue to work with it. It probably took over an hour to complete the first fender. Faster on the second. Watch the videos. Nice thing isthat if you mess it up, it's easy to remove and start over.

After new paint, I had a local graphics company install 3M film on all the leading edges of the front fairing, engine cowlings, floorboards and on the front of the rear fenders. Makes all the difference in the world. Lasts about 2-3 years then needs to be done again due to wind, rain & debris. Cost me about $250 and absolutely saves the paint.
