Any Heat Issues with Spyder RT?

OK, I have about reached the end of my patience in throwing good money after bad trying to alleviate the heat issues with my 2015 Tri Glide, so I have been casually looking at the Spyder RT Limited. While the "twitchy" handling doesn't concern me all that much, being as it seems to be just a matter of gaining experience, I am concerned that I may be trading one heat sink for another.

I read the do's and don'ts on SpyderLove.com, and one thing that they mentioned was heat; something along the lines of you are sitting on a motor, and newer motorcycles are hotter than older ones. Being that my 2007 Road King had no issues, but my 2011 and 2015 Tri Glides were/are like riding on top of a barbecue grill; would I just be trading in one hot ass three wheeler for another?

Maybe I should just go ahead and trade for that Mustang GT convertible I've been eyeing...

Predictions

Yup , it was mentioned that the issue would come up during the winter chill .And I can’t disagree with ya. Fortunately here in the NE it feels good, at times.

Yeah, I have to admit that the heat feels nice during the 3-4 weeks of cold weather that we get, but not so much during the 10 months of summer!

Can Am has probably resolved this but for a while they had serious heat issues...

Yes they did have an issue with the 2013 which they issued a factory recall on in order to add some body work and ducting in order to push more air thru the radiator and bodywork and to exhaust they heat beater and it has worked very well. Beginning with the 2014 the 1330 3cyl seems to be doing a better job of removing the heat. There don't seem to be the heat issue complains like there were in t 2013.Can Am is now 5 years into the 1330 motor now many with very high mileage on them and they seem to be doing well.

Ya think? Paws ... you see this????

Yeah...wouldn’t concern me. If it happens, it happens. Looks like a good way for an insurance payoff on the loan! :clapping:

Besides, as Paul just stated...that was on the earlier models. Still thinking about that snazzy-looking Spyder Limited...

My wife has a ‘16 Spyder LTD. No heat issues with her bike. I ride a ‘15 TG, and sets me on fire.

I have rode both in comparable heat, and there’s no comparison.

:Agree: I have a 2014 RT and the heat is no way even close to the Tank.

The twitchness can be resolved on the Spyder.

Have 26K now on the Spyder and just sat in traffic for almost 2 hours (102 Deg on the Spyder dash) and it was warm, but I was comfortable compared to the Tank which I know it would have baked me.
