I have a 2006 GL1800 with a Champion IRS kit installed. When ever I hit a bump, there is a clicking, clunking noise coming from under the rear left side. The tires were wearing on the inside because of the bad negative camber. Champion sent us a replacement kit including the upper control arms to correct the negative camber problem. My installer did the work the other day. I mentioned the clicking noise and he said he figured it might be the stabilizer bushings. He lubricated the ball joints on the stabilizer bar and said the noise was gone. After driving 200 miles today, the noise is still there, maybe worse. He said he was going to contact Champion to find out if there is a problem with the stabilizer bushings. Has anyone else had problems with this clicking, clunking sound on rough roads?
I am quite happy with the IRS negative camber kit.
The tires are finally touching the road more evenly, rather just on the inside of the tire.
Any info would be appreciated concerning this clicking, clunking noise.
Thanks.
