Champion IRS Kit Question

I just purchased my first Goldwing Trike after owning two other wings over the years, and I have a question on the driveshaft and brake calipers. I have worked in Maintenance shops for over 40 years and believe in a good PM schedule. So I plan to give this 2012 wing a through check out this winter. I have tried to contact Champion by phone and by email with no reply.

Does anyone know what U-joints are used in the front and rear of the drive shaft, and what auto do I look for at the parts store when it is time to replace the brake calipers? Plus the bike only has 32K miles on it and was triked at 2K.

Thanks for the help.

When you are trying to contact Champion make sure you are contacting Champion Trikes of Arizona. The previous company went out of business and the trike assets sold to a new owner. Good Luck..... Jim

I have good news. I pulled the driveshaft and removed the U-Joints, measured them and ordered new ones.

Now that this is done, on to the next project. Air filter replacement :)

How did you replace the front u joint? I thought it was unserviceable, mine is staked, not spring clipped.
