Champion manual reverse

I have a trike that has a Champion manual reverse on a Sputhe 5 speed in a 4 speed case. I’m wondering if anyone has modified the shift lever for easier access? It’s pretty much behind my rear drag pipe. And a burn hazard.

No reason you can't make a leaver to clear your pipes. I do not think there will be many on here that have your setup to give you a firsthand opinion. Just make sure you are able to engage the shift with the mod. The push down would be the key.
