I was looking at a 2015 Honda 1800 with a CSC kit. will it cruise at 75 or 80 easily and what RPM would the engine be running?

Thanks , Jackie

Depends on your gearing and hp. Our Victory/CSC conversion is happy cruising at 2,800 to 3,000 rpm’s, 60 to 65 mph, in 5th gear. In 6th gear it lugs and mpg goes down at those rpm’s. I only use 6th gear at consistent 80-85 mph. Our trike is a 106 with Lloyd’s cams, air delivery system and a fuel tuner. Mpg averages around 32-35 mpg, and drops to around 28 mpg in 6th gear.

Cruising Speed

That 1800 engine is just starting to breathe at 75 mph. It’ll run as fast as you wanna go all day long. Just get on it and ride. Be safe. 😉 Bruce

3K to 3500 rpm seems to be the sweet spot and will give a nice cruising speed, at least that's it on my Road Smith. I try to keep it at 3K rpm on road trips, past that it begins to suck fuel down rapidly. At 3K rpm I can also enjoy more scenery if it's there to enjoy.
