JUST KNIVES

Mike, you've posted up some fine looking knives!

Your grandfather's Pal 36 and the faux pearl Iroquios caught my eye That Iroquios stamping isn't very common, Iroquois Utica N.Y, and Iroquios made in USA is a Utica Cutlery Co, marking from 1920-1940

And of course your 2 blade jack, shell handled Imperial is an awesome workhorse of a knife!

Some great knives, thanks for sharing them ThumbUp

I'll be posting some of the project knives later, but wanted to share the knife Michele got me for Valentine's day ♥️ I've posted a short clip of the knife on link below

Have a few more of my projects to share over the next few posts, a couple of great finds for the collection!

First is another old scout knife

Some may be familiar with the Ulster "Prince Albert" Old Timer 114OT scouts, this Schrade Walden 914 that is pretty much the same knife and possibly the precursor to the Ulster 114OT.

The SW 914 was only made from 1965 to 1969 and the Ulster 114OT was ordered by RJ Reynolds Co in 1968.

The SW Cut USA stamp on this one... is thought that stamp was typically used on special / commemorative edition knives. Since the Old Timer name was original to Schrade Walden, perhaps they intended this model to be the Prince Albert brand but RJ Reynolds insisted on the Ulster name.

Was in rough shape when it arrived, rusty and neglected.

Spent some time on it, several days in fact but it was worth the effort. Unfortunately it has some pitting, but cleaned up nicely and is quite an interesting find!

Remington circle stamp/script underlined, tang stamp dates this 1933-40 This one must have been a painter's EDC, had some dried paint on bone and inside the track... used, carried and sharpened :clapping:

Cleaning reviled faint R153 as the model number, great carry piece for pocket, beautiful bone, great snap, takes a great edge...lot of life left in this one

Lastly, this was a bundled deal for roughly 21 bucks

The one I was interested in was the toothpick... seller indicated unknown maker, from the pictures posted I could tell it was an old bone and worthy of saving, so here's my find!

So after cleaning it up I wasn't able to find a stamping but after some research and verification from some knife experts it turned out to be another Remington knife

Had some bone missing at center pin on plie side, lightly retipped at some point in it's lifetime but mostly full blade

Great snap, no wobble and some more beautiful bone to drool over

I enjoy seeing these old pocket knives… seems so many of them look familiar after having seen them through the years in old tool boxes, drawers, around the farm, tackle boxes, around the garage, at the mechanic’s shop… it never dawned on me that people would actually buy them and there was such a history written on them such that their origins could be traced… its been interesting to watch.. look forward to more…thanks guys!!

I bought this Gerber about 20 years ago. I carry it when I ride.

Thought I'd post a few of my recent finds...

These were not the typical rescue projects, only needed just a little cleaning and oiling

Top left is a Gitsnife slider by Gits molding Co, 1938-c1950 this all metal art deco model is most likely the from earlier production years

Middle is a New York Knife Co, Hammer brand advertising knife with composite handles c 1880-1931 w/stamping for Lee-Kountz Hardware Co which operated in Omaha Neb around this time period

New Sheath

I might have mentioned that my son has taken up leather working. I got him to make me a new sheath for my Dad's Boy Scout knife (post #133). He used the old one for the pattern. It came out really nice. AND, it's left handed like the original one.

Had to be a good man if he was a lefty :clapping:

Actually, he wasn't. I never realized the sheath was left handed until my son mentioned it when he made the new one. Dad's been gone 25 years now so no way of getting any more information on it.

Better for me 'cause I'm a lefty.
