Just picked up my Road Star Champion trike

I just bought this trike. It is a 2003 but only has 11K miles and barely any miles since it was triked everything still looks brand new. So far I really like it except for the ride it is a little stiff. Is there any way to soften up the ride? the shocks are set at the softest adjustment.

I have 22lbs in the rear now..

That is what I have in my Roadsmith.

with a SA you won't get a smooth ride, if it axle has air shocks you could adjust them, also if swing arm has air shock adjust that some.

Same kit on my VTX 1300. 20 lbs rear, 40 lbs front. SA. It's not a Wing. Rides like a motorcycle. Install a drivers backrest and mustang seats. You'll love it.

Your Roadstar/Champion uses the stock spring/shock along with the vertically mounted shocks. You might be able to back off the preload on the stock shock.

Where did you get the passenger backrest. It would be perfect for us. I also am getting the mustang seat.

If you haven't gotten the Mustang yet check out http://edseatsusa.com/ . They specialize in Yamaha seats. Have not heard only great reviews on them from all the Roadie sites I've been on. They actually have a 15 day, no questions asked return policy. Kind of like a test period. Who else offers that? Or anything similar.
