Lonely BMW/Hannigan triker reporting in...

No one ever accused me of being normal and I guess this forum will be no different. <g> I am a recent convert to conventional trikes and have a 2005 Hannigan on a 2005 BMW K1200LT.

</div>I love it, but I have to say that I will not be lured into "discussions" regarding the relative merits of GL1800s vs. K LTs as a base for a trike. Both are great in my opinion. I went with the K LT/Hannigan because I have been a BMW rider/driver for many, many moons and feel comfortable with the marque. Different strokes...

I don't believe that being normal is a requirement for enjoying life as a matter of fact I think that it gets in the way. Love what you ride, Ride what you love!!! Just Ride!!

Actually, as moderator of this forum, I will try and generally steer away from those types of negative comparisons. We want to keep things here on the positive side and appreciate our differences. There are many beautifully engineered & built bikes and trikes. I like them all.

I would agree, I sure am glad you don't have to be normal to have fun riding your trike. Goodness knows if that were the case, I would still be riding the chair more.

My good friend Bob, who lived down in St. Pete, rode a BMW with the Hannigan kit on it and he let me ride it once. Great ride for sure.

</div>I am looking forward to meeting you and your lady at the Hill Country trike gathering in May, ...along with lots of other good folks. It's gonna be fun!

Ben if we were "normal", we'd all be driving green AMC Pacers...:) How did you decide what kit to use for the BMW? Just looks or a specific feature? Ride safe...
