Jack Klarich 18000+ Posts Aug 31, 2017 #6 1 more thing about these clamps I know we aint supposed to use them over { some times I am CHEAP} the wedge piece in the middle of the clamp can be ground down a bit This will make the clamping force better JMO The wedge is seen in the middle in this pic I also change the splined bolt for a new bolt, lock washer, 2 flat washers ( 1 for each side of the bolt) and a new nut for better tightening
