Our only grandson Jason has just completed his PhD in Bio-Chemical Engineering at age 28. The defense of his Thesis was on the Zoom platform this Thursday with the faculty of the University and we got to watch it live, he nailed it !

He started out to get his degree at Ohio University in Med School but took to Chemistry like a duck to water, after graduating he got a scholarship to University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He got his Masters at age 24 and started teaching at the Uni. He has had 2 papers published in scientific journals and is seeking a copyright, patent on his work relating to his doctorate degree.

His Dissertation was "Spatiotemporal Carrier Dynamics of Molybdenum Disulfide Nanoflakes: A Detailed Investigation Using Pump-Probe Microscopy". I'm trying to read through his paper now and quite frankly, I'm pretty lost at page 15 out of 122, lol. Anyhow, we now have a "Doc" in the family.
