Radio Replacement for Honda GL1500's

I am currently riding my buddies 1995 GL 1500 (at least until I get discharged from the Bankruptcy). I really like the bike and it's very solid.

If I was to keep this bike I'd love to upgrade/replace the radio with a more modern version.

Requirements for the Replacement:

Waterproof

Bluetooth connect to my iPhone so I can listen to my audio books on a trip

FM Radio (never listen to am)

SiriusXm Radio Ready would be nice

I would really like to use the bikes radio controls, but not necessary

It would have to be able to connect to both (not at the same time) the bike speakers and the bikes headset connections (I don't care about the intercom)

Having made the "Wish List", any ideas if it's at least possible?

Right now, I'm using a Scala Rider G9X which works well, but, I'm not always with a helmet (don't judge me). I can take the mount off the half helmet and clip to to my belt and plug in ear buds, but, I'd like to be able to not have wires hanging out of my ears. I can connect the 9X to a cassette adapter and use either the speakers or the headsets, but then you need to keep the 9X charged. I know ... I want it all ... LOL ... but isn't that the American Way :Shrug:

One of the simplest things i've seen done was a marine unit mounted in trunk they mounted the remote in a cover for the radio.I have also seen the spot for the factory radio modified with fiberglass to make a mount for a marine radio.As far as using the stock controls installed an aux input of one variation or another is all I know of.Maybe someone who knows more will chime in.

WE had a 1995 GL1500SE Motor Trike until about 5 years ago. Even then I wanted to upgrade the radio, but found no cost-effective way to do it. I settled for a cassette adapter to run an Mp3 player through the system.

kind 0f what I thought ... the 9x option is pretty good, I can wire it to the cassette adapter then BT connect my phone for audio books

I don't use the commercial radio (AM/FM) through a headset, I listen to it on speakers and leave headset for intercom and CB ....

so I put a docking station for my XM in the travel trunk hump and a wireless modulator / power plug inserted in a dedicated outlet supplies juice and signal for the FM to pick up via antenna a few short inches from the modulator. I get no interference that way. I usually know what I'm in the mood for so I just set it if I'm gonna listen .... to Willies Roadhouse .... or 50s on 5 .... or the 40s channel .... etc ....
