Safety Chain

My trailer receiver is so low to the ground, I'm having a hard time on figuring out how to keep the chain from dragging.

Chain has to remain the length that it is, to facilitate tight turning.

I'm thinking short bunge cord on each chain, so that it will remain kind of tight (higher off the ground), but will stretch out when it needs more length.

How are you guys accomplishing this?

Thanks
Mike

I take mine and cross them across the drawbar, left chain hooks to the right side and left to the right side, and still leaves plenty of slack for turns.

:Agree:

As a matter of safety, you should always cross your chains, and secure the hook with one hook over the receiver and one hook under. That's how we did it with the big rigs, still do it on any trailer I pull.
