While on the road today I gave this a lot of thought. I am concerned that you are having these problems.
How many hours have you had in the saddle, and how long between rides? I used to ride bikes and stopped quite a few years ago: (I bit the road too often and got leery. Being very cautious is good on a motorcycle, but being scared and timid is not). After dreaming for many years I bought a Trike.
For quite a while I felt that I was _never_ going to ride without pain (skinny bum and ageing circulation). But like horse riding or cycling, your nether regions do man up with practice. But that means riding often and getting hours of "scar tissue" into your arse (and also your brain and how it thinks about the pain in your arse
).
I went from saddle to Airhawk, to sheepskin, to sheepskin, + Airhawk to _3_ layers of sheepskin (and foam), each layer cut to try to fit where I felt pressure. Then one day, from my mountain of sheepskin, I decided to cut back to one layer...and found that it was really comfy. My bum had toughed up....as it had for push-biking. (I have never ridden a horse: they scare me)
