I am currently watching the Prescott. AZ. Veteran's Day Parade on TV. It is quite spectacular with a large turnout, both watching, and participating

Those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end, we'd sing and dance forever and a day, we'd live the life we choose, we'd fight and never lose, for we were young and sure to have our way.

I first heard that song standing in the chow line at Ft. Polk, La. on Thanksgiving Day, 1968. Those C-Rations made me think.
