A few years ago I picked up a Garmin 1450LMT at Target's Black Friday Doorbuster sale. Garmin listed it at $315, Target sale price was $159, got a $10 gift card and they took $10 more off at the register - Total price was $139, and it has lifetime map updates 4 times a year along with traffic info in bigger cities.
I also have an older Streetpilot 2610 - really liked that unit, programmable, feature packed, came with a remote (?) and wasn't dumbed down like the newer units are. Only thing is I can' get maps for it any more. The road I take to work opened since the last streetpilot update, and the display shows me going baja off road and it informs me that it is recalculating and I am off route. Wish someone would hack maps for these older but working units. It is still good for most routes, speed, time, distance, and such. Just the maps havent been updated since 2009.
