Exhaust Options

I was checking out Vance and Hines website and noticed a lot of their slip-ons say they don't fit Tri-glides. I have an Ultra with a Lehman and Makes me wonder what after market mufflers will fit. What has been your experience?

I don't know what the problem is V&H has with the Tri-Glide. I have the Monster Rounds on mine(2012). I have had other muffs on from different touring bikes without any problems at all. I also have the DK Custom lifts on mine. Some have had clearance problems with the lifts & V&H muffs, but were able to adjust things in most all instances. Part of their problem might be people griping about the clearance off the ground. But with the lift brackets I have no problems. Or it could be people would rather gripe because they might need things adjusted & blamed V&H for their problems. Call & talk to them & make them explain !
By the way I would recommend the Monster Rounds or Monster Ovals. They work & sound great !

Great quality also !

I have the V & H turndowns and had no fitment problems. I also have the Comfort Lift Brackets installed. Have yet to scrap the tips or bottoms of my mufflers.

I have V&H torque headers and slash cut mufflers. I did have to get some extensions for headers to reach the mufflers. I have Dennis' lift kit and do not have any problems. I took my headers and mufflers from my Ultra Limited.

Try these out: part# 223-642 (Vance&Hines). I have them on my Triglide w/true dual setup and like them. Of course,Arlen Ness Big Sucker AC,and 557 S&S Cam and Dyno
Tuned. What a difference ! They are made for a Triglide and keep the clearance where you want it..................

I have a set of the old Screaming Eagle 98B's on my 11 Tri Glide. My son had them on his 08 Street Glide and I got them from him when he traded the SG. They bolted right up. Same mounting points. Find someone with a touring Harley and measure the mufflers and then measure the mufflers on yours now and see if there's a difference.

I have the Rush Slip-ons from my Road King on my 11 TG. Fit right on. Can't think of any reason that a slip-on for a 2 wheel touring bike won't work on the TG's.

I just put on V&H Dual Slash Rounds on Big Blue. I have the FM 2-1-2 headpipe and extension w/ stock crossover. Everything fits perfectly. If you still have a stock headpipe and crossover the mufflers fit the same as the rest of the touring models. I have Dennis' lift and it isn't an issue with the mufflers.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't fit. The old stock mufflers I took off our '12 T glide match up exactly to every other Electra Glide muffler I've had for many years. And the the new monster rounds from V&H fit perfectly.

Tbear,

Where did you get the Triglide Dyno tuned?

Tbear,

I got my Dyno done by my mechanic at E & B Cycle in Monroe, Michigan. ask for Bob. He does have to take the bike into Ohio at a shop their for Trikes to do the Dyno. He went to the HD school and was taught first on the new Dyno vision tuner and later learning other Tuners also. Been doing it for 12 years Dynoing 2 wheels and 3 years on Trikes. Everyone around here say he's the best in this part of the state. There is also, Roeders in Ohio off of Hwy 20. People say they are good on Trikes also.
