HF 4x8 Trailer any one?

I see everyone uses the 4x4 HF trailer. What about the 4x8? I need the fold up capability of the light duty fold up HF trailer. I cant store one that wont fold up.

I am working on a 4x4 and have an idea for storing it upright as I don't have room for it to store flat. When I get that far and see if my idea works. I can post about it and include pictures. Towing an 8' trailer with a trike is a lot of trailer. I have a VW trike that is 12 feet long as it is adding another 8' is too much.

I took some angle iron and welded up 2 right angles, about 1.5' per leg. I attached those to the rear frame and was able to set it on its end. Removed them when the trailer was changed from a small trailer with a clam shell (similar to a HF tag-along)to a 6'4" camper that was to heavy to lift.

is there some reason to want to use the HF 4 foot long x 40 inches wide trailer over the 8 foot long x 4 foot wide trailer? I see everyone seems to use those micro trailers, Why not the larger one too? The difference in weight between the two trailers seems to be 110 lbs heavier for the 4x8 trailer. What does that do in the grand scheme of things? Also, what is up with the tongue lengthening some people talk about? Why would someone want longer tongues on these trailers than what the manufacturer provides? Help !

Got the 4x8 with woood sides up and going. doing 55 it is not even noticable. not any real effect on the braking I could tell other than it taking a little bit longer to stop otherwise, ok so far.

The loner tongue on a trailer pulled behind a 2-wheel motorcycle or trike will reduce the amount of "back and forth sway" caused by the movement of motorcyle within a traffic lane. Most motorcycles don't stay fixed in a position like a 4-wheel vehicle.
Also due to the short wheelbase of most motorcycles, movement is transferred from the motorcycle through a short tongue to the trailer, hince with longer tongue, less sway and more stability.
Hope this helps.

Just a word of advice about the HF trailers.Be sure and keep the wheel bearings well serviced.Replacement bearings and seals are nearly impossible to find.Auto parts stores and even HF cannot get them due to being a very odd size.

I might just get one ...

Looking at this one:

Heavy Duty Utility Trailer - 870 Lb. Capacity

and just painting it to match this trike when I get it:

Or getting the tag a long:
