Lots of the Orange Carbon Fiber stuff ... Love the Color ... This would be the two wheeler of the stable ... not to replace the Fat Bottom Girl .. It's a 2002 ... I am normally not a gaudy Carole kind of guy ... but this thing stole my heart, I even like the pin stripping ... might have to make two trips ... not sure the little trailer will fit in the back of Guinevere .. :Shrug:

They are asking $8K, I made my best offer, if it's not on consignment, I have a chance. The salesman didn't know. This time of year the owner might take it if he owns it. He does a fair percentage of consignments. We'll see. I guess I'm a decent customer ... LOL ... I have my salesman's cell phone number and he has told me to call anytime ... I called on Sunday afternoon ... in my current state, retired, I actually thought it was Saturday ... LOL. He wasn't the least upset, or, he's a really good salesman ... :Shrug:. I guess it's true, I'm getting old.

Big chuckle here, I can feel the anxiety. Look, you seem to live the good life looking after mom, and 'other folks', I glean that from reading your escapades, so I have a feeling you may get 'the call'. Write the check and pin it to the wall of that fine garage and be ready>>>>>>> the up side if it doesn't work out, you burn the check and save $7K.
Hmmmm ... maybe I've shared too much of myself ... LOL ... Although I haven't "written the check" I did allow them $1000 as a deposit from my debit card. All deals I make with my dealer are always done with a deposit that is refundable if the bike isn't as advertised or the test ride doesn't go so well ... that's never happened. The dealer knows me well and wouldn't even offer a bike that doesn't meet my requirements. We've gotten to the point that they don't even run my card anymore ... :blush:

Dealer called .. told me the seller is firm on $8k ... I told him I was firm on $7k, so thanks.

If the seller just listed it at the dealer he might think if he holds out awhile, you'll probably take the bait and he'll get his full asking price...:Shrug:
I agree ... if I wanted to spend 8k, he has a white 04 gl1800 with 10k miles ... I'm guessing at some point ... either one will come down over the winter, I can wait.
