I think the Freewheeler trike stock runs really well. With that said, I still feel the closed loop fuel ratio of 14.6 from the factory is to lean for an air cooled motor. (We spend the majority of our riding time in closed loop)
I installed the Nightrider FL-Vied-10 units and set them to control the closed loop fuel ratio at 14.2 or at the 50% set point. I also tried the 75% or 14.0 set point and it was a tad to rich feeling for my set up. (13.9 to 14.2 are good ratios for the closed loop operation depending on the bike and the upgrades) ThumbUp
My Freewheeler runs very nice at this set point 50% or 14.2 ( My set up= stock air box with K&N replacement air filter, stock ECM mapping, D&D 3 1/2" slip on mufflers with the 2" Vortex baffles) The idle and cruz is smoother. The throttle response is crisp and solid and the very small amount of decal popping I had every now and then is gone.
The FL-Vied-10 do exactly what they say and are a cost effective way to increase performance and cooling when a full blown tuner is not needed.
